Evidence for Change Podcast
About the podcast
Evidence for Change is a podcast for Patient Engagement professionals and commercial teams in the pharma industry who are tackling real-world challenges in designing, delivering and optimizing initiatives to improve the patient journey and outcomes and drive positive impact.
Each episode explores common barriers—from treatment initiation and adherence to digital innovation and scaling globally—through the lens of patient insight and behavioral science expertise. Through conversations with experienced industry leaders, we share practical examples and evidence-led perspectives to provide clear, actionable guidance.

Episode 1: The Adherence Evidence We Know — and the System & Pharma Change We Need
Despite decades of evidence, medication nonadherence remains a challenge in healthcare. In this first episode of the Evidence for Change Podcast, we explore what 20+ years of adherence evidence has taught us.
We discuss why traditional approaches often fall short but also where behavioral science makes a practical difference in the design of effective pharma-sponsored adherence support with real‑world examples showing improved patient outcomes.

Episode 2: Global Patient Engagement Solutions: Getting It Right from Strategy to Reality
Our guest Matt Kowal, Head of Strategy and Commercial Operations at Chiesi USA, and Jonny Duder, CEO of Atlantis Health, explore what it takes to turn global patient engagement strategy into effective local delivery.
Drawing on extensive experience across biotech and pharma, they discuss how successful, long-term global programs are built on strong internal sponsorship, organizational commitment, and behavioral science-informed design, then adapted locally to support implementation at scale. The conversation also covers the value of measuring and publishing outcomes, and the role of AI-enabled personalization in global patient engagement.

Episode 3: From Launch to Legacy: Lessons from a Patient Engagement Program That Delivered for 10+ Years
Can patient engagement programs improve outcomes and stand the test of time?
In this episode of Evidence for Change, our guest Peter Said, a senior Patient Engagement Strategist and author, joins Jonny Duder, CEO of Atlantis Health and host Charles Beasley to explore the lessons behind the long-running SmartSight patient support program.
Together they discuss how behavioral science, patient co-design, measurement, and continuous evolution can help transform patient engagement from a short-term initiative into a sustainable driver of better patient outcomes and value.
